With over 15 years of bilingual (Spanish/English) experience in the legal field, Jose Velasquez has a distinguished track record of providing top-tier legal solutions to multinational firms, including Fortune 500 companies, startups, SaaS, small businesses, entrepreneurs and individuals across various industries.

Jose has successfully led negotiations for over $50 million in combined contracts and dispute settlements related to sales and purchase agreements, mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, personal injury, intellectual property theft, employment disputes, real estate, commercial contracts, and debt collection.

He has structured and reviewed complex transactions across diverse sectors such as energy, mining, infrastructure, financial institutions, technology, and media & telecommunications. His collaborative efforts often involve cross-border and cross-functional teams, including some of the largest and most aggressive global law firms, across different time zones.

Jose has acted as a Spanish translator/interpreter in English-speaking contract negotiations, ensuring clear communication and effective outcomes in multilingual settings.

Jose has provided legal support on a wide range of domestic and cross-border agreements, including but not limited to terms of service, non-disclosure (NDA), non-compete and non-circumvention agreements, Releases, joint-venture agreements, service contracts, mandate agreements, contractor agreements, petroleum purchase agreements, and unitization agreements.

In addition to his professional engagements, Jose is deeply committed to social responsibility. He provides pro bono support to charities in immigration matters, leveraging his legal expertise to assist those in need and advocating for vulnerable communities.

Jose studied Political Science and Law at Georgia State University and is a trained negotiator under the Program on Negotiation methodology from Harvard Law School.
